Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals and designate one individual to serve in his Administration: The President intends to nominate Kevin F. Sullivan, of New York, to be Assistant Secretary of Education (Communications and Outreach). Mr. Sullivan currently serves as Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications and Media Relations at NBC Universal. He previously served as Vice President of Sports Communications at NBC. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sullivan worked for eighteen years with the Dallas Mavericks. He earned his bachelor's degree from Purdue University and his master's degree from Iona College. The President intends to nominate Richard L. Skinner, of Virginia, to be Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Skinner currently serves as Acting Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security. He previously served as Deputy Inspector General of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Earlier in his career, Mr. Skinner worked at the Department of State's Office of Inspector General. He earned his bachelor's degree from Fairmont State University and master's degree from The George Washington University. The President intends to designate Bruce N. Crandlemire, of Virginia, to be Acting Inspector General of the United States Agency for International Development. Mr. Crandlemire currently serves as Assistant Inspector General for Audit at the Agency for International Development, where he previously served as Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit. Prior to these positions, he served as Director of Financial Audits, Deputy Director of Policy, Planning and Oversight, and Director of Information Technology and Special Audits at the Agency for International Development. Mr. Crandlemire earned his bachelor's degree from Creighton University. # # #
